you'll find mixed emotions here. i guess it depends on how much of a die hard you are, and if you have enough cash that $30 isn't more than a drop in a bucket. having already bought it, i'm satisfied (with sp). had i not purchased it the day it came out, i'm not sure if i would now. i purchased it for mp though, so take my comments with a grain of salt.

If you are mostly into SP, then buy it (or wait until it the price drops to $20 and buy it then - depends on your budget). The SP improvements (better AI, better interface, upgradable swordsmen, new civs etc.) are worth it. As someone else (WarpStorm, I think) nicely said, I would not uninstall PtW and go back to vanilla Civ3 even if someone offered me $50 to do it.

PTW as a SP game is great, now that it has been patched up. But, the asking price is a bit steep for just the SP. If you can find it for less than $20US, grab it. Otherwise wait until it comes down in price. As much as it's getting bashed in the game mags and sites, the price may be droping in a month or so.

It was just a joke as your from Scotland, down here in England they say Scots are tight fisted and dont like to part with their cash.
Its better than what we say about the Welsh and their interest in Sheep.
No offense meant.

I think it's worth getting just for the improved stack movement and the ability to set rally points.
