Me and my sis used "meh meh meh" as sarcastic "ha ha ha very funny" but I thought it was our, invented word.

It seems as though a great many people have simultaneously thought up the word "meh". Lousy zeitgeist.
Personally, I use it as a verbal equivalent of a shrug and a more laconic form of "whatever".
