HELP! Civ 2 error messige

I just got Civ 2 back after a long break, and when I try to start it up I get this messige:

CIV2 cause a Stack Fault in module IR41.DLL at 0002:019D.

I have Win2000 and I installed some video program that the Civ 2 installer promted when I installed the game. It always worked fine before, but that was before Win2000. Anyone have a clue what I need to do?

[EDIT] I've installed the patch and it still doesn't work. Also, the editor works fine.

Just in case someone else has had this problem.
