Disc Problem

My cd for ac has stopped working. It will not load. All my other games work fine. Has something in my computer become corrupted and is there a solution? The cd-rom won't even spin. It's in perfect condition.
Can anyone help?

I have had this problem with my SMACX CD on some computers, on others it works fine. My solution was simple. I went and grabbed the CD-less crack from Gamecopyworld.com

Bewarned, it may be a crack of SMACX V1.0, not v2.0

If you use the cd player built into Win98/2k to play audio cd's, it will leave a tray icon after you exit.

This icon is loaded whenever you boot, until you right click on it, and exit. For whatever reason, this applet prevents SMAC/X from loading. Just get rid of it, and your back in business.
