Songs that rock
Was going through mp3s that I don't listen to very often and came across Babe I'm Gonna Leave You by Led Zep... by god does that song rock.

Ah, got that long ago
Come on people. What do you listen to when you've had a couple of drinks, or a smoke, and just want to listen to something damn good, something you can get your teeth into?

You asked for it: Genesis' "Second's Out" live album, the "The lamb lies down on Broadway - The musical Box" medley.

Thx for the suggestions... Mercator seems to be closest to my tastes (Jimi, The Who), though I will be investigating the other suggestions.
I think I've listened to Babe I'm Gonna Leave you about 8 times in a row now... sometimes you just gotta keep it on repeat till it hurts

"Babe I'm Gonna Leave you" got me hooked on Led Zep. Also try "Heartbreaker", "Good Times, Bad Times", "Black Dog", "No Quarter", "When the Levy Breaks", "BRON-Y-AUR STOMP"
Jimi Hendrix: "Cross Town Traffic"
SoundGarden: "Spoonman" and anything else from "Superunknown"
Anything on the album "DJ Aphrodite: v.2" by "DJ Aphrodite"
AC/DC: "You Shook Me All Night Long", "Whole Lotta Rosie"

Judas Priest: "Living Bad Dreams", "Diamonds & Rust" (from the "'98 Live Meltdown" album), "Desert Plains", Johnny B. Goode"
Motorhead: "I Don't Believe A Word", "Orgasmatron"
And before you grab your pitchfork, just listen to them.

and might I recommend Deep Purple- no not smoke on the water. That is overplayed. Songs like fireball and child in time (well that is a ballad- so that doesn't rock).
Blue Oyster Cult has a few weird ones as well. They aren't like your typical classic rock band. They have their own unique style. They aren't for everyone.

Well, it's just that I seem to have that effect on people when I recommend music.
Oh, and how about "Mandrake Root" by Deep Purple, or "Running Free" by Iron Maiden? Good songs, but they tend to be overlooked as they're quite different from what the bands did later on.

Some are a bit depressive, but anyway:
Alice in chains - Would?, Dam that river
Soundgarden - Jesus christ pose, face pollution, an unkind
Therapy? - epilepsy, ten year plan, church of noise
Bad Religion - supersonic, can't stop it, give you nothing, faith in god
Husker Du - Signals from above, in a free land
Pearl jam - rearviewmirror, corduroy, spin the black circle, brain of j
That should keep you busy for a while.
