For those who are not familiar with the concept of a Democracy Game, you can read the FAQ for the CtP2 Democracy Game to get a rough idea of what a Democracy Game (DG) is about. The details will no doubt be different for CtP1 but it should give some idea of what a DG is and how it works.

Zaphod,
TheBirdMan's vote is borderline, but yours not good enough I'm afraid (unless Markos disagrees, of course). Either you're in or you're not...

Hi is this a must spend 3 hours a day type of thing or a more casual ten min a day type of thing. It does sound kind of fun and i would like to be involved but couldnt put my life on hold for it or my phone line think of me as a half person.

I will say a casual 10 minute kinda thing. Read a few related post here, make a few votes there, and you are finished for the day.

You can basically spend as much time as you want: some people pop in just once a week, vote in a few polls, make a few comments and that's it, others seem to do little else: they post and vote in every single poll and thread, fiercely debate about even the most trivial affairs, run for every official office they can run for, make directories, write news and stories, etc...
I think that if you sign up here you must be willing to spend at least a few hours per week on this (10-15 mins a day on average sounds about okay, so I guess we can count you in, Quickbeam ). If you can't make that every week that's no problem but if a lot of people spent a lot less than that, the game is doomed to fail. It's not that you're not welcome to join the game if you can't spend that much time (like Zaphod), but to see if this idea has a realistic chance of succeeding we can't count people who are only gonna drop in once or twice a month...
But in reality, as long as there are about 5-10 people enthousiastic enough to put in as much time as is needed to keep the game going, it doesn't really matter too much how much time other players invest.
Including TheBirdMan and Quickbeam, the counter is now at 10 - halfway there!

yep, that zaphod, no not really, after more than a year without any ctp i reinstalled ctp2 last fall and spent some months on that. at the moment i actually wouldn't even have the time to post here, but i try at least to participate in the ctp2dg and a little in the other ctp2 forums, when i will have time again (maybe in may, but i don't know yet) i will have to test out the aom and cradle 1.35 mods or whatever will be avaible of new exciting things, maybe a pbem as well, though i really prefer ctp2 over ctp. lets just see
