Is nationstates.net actually right wing?
I've heard several posters mention how right-wing the pseudo-game is, but I have to disagree.
The game is promoting the book 'Jennifer Government', which is about a corporate dytopia in which citizens are forced to adopt the surnames of the company they work for (obviously the character 'Jennifer' works for the government).
The fact that in the game your economy can only survive if you adopt pro-business politics seems to be making a point about how it is virtually impossible to avoid spiralling into this world.
Just my opinion

not at all. I'm fairly left oriented, and every decision I've made has led my nation to prosperity...
UN Category: Left-Leaning College State
Civil Rights: Frightening
Economy: Very Strong
Political Freedoms: Excellent
The more right wing players seem to struggle a bit more in those categories.

I don't think the site is biased at all.
I think that people who feel that way are reading too much into it.

Why are people so het up about Ubinia banning meat? I'm sure your society has animals it wouldn't eat (eg dogs, cats). Why is it so absurd to not have any?

He does give a good point however. Akiria does not condone eating dog, or horse, or cat, therefore, why is it so different to not allow other meat? I think they're may be health issues, in that we need some meat, of some discription, but Akiria must go away and think about this. The main point we have, however, is that it is Ubinia's decision, and thus they are free to chose whichever course they want to.

Exactly - it's not like substitutes can't fill the gap.
IRL I would have no problems with being veggie as long as there were decent substitutes, which there would be a demand for if meat were banned.
Oh, and look out for a Kentucky Fried Asparagus franchise opening near you!

In Tupan, I recently determined that the ever-growing jaguar population (our national animal) be reduced by turning some of them into delicious food for the masses. I think that my economy will improve.

I haven't noticed a hint of right-wing-ness.

Well, Suomi solved the meat issue by accepting that people eat meat. Why to change something like people's eating habits? Okay, well, they referred to the rights of animals to live, which is of course true, but saying "no" to meat would have decreased my civil rights record.

I said no to cruelty but yes to allowing meat eating. The best of both worlds IMHO.

Yes, definitely. I said to let businesses fire workers without reason and my economy went from struggling to good overnight (it also happened to have the adverse effect of making taxes be flat). If I had chosen to give rights to workers instead I'm almost certain my economy would've fallen further.
