Ha! I resent that. As a student, I work mostly at home and therefore have time for Civ3.
...Who am I kidding, I'm a hopeless fanatic!

This game doesn't take much to keep rolling. I sit here watching the bond market go nowhere while making up stories to write for customers and I post a send every so often. What is different is that we all seem to be able to do this in real time rather than looking at it once a day.
No joy in hutville, I'm sure I'll get due sympathy.

I liked your response about pop-rushing ICBMs better. Why did you edit it? LOL!
Jshelr, too bad huts don't give workers!
I refuse to accept that I have no life. Just because I got struck by disease doesn't mean I'm dead.

Ok, edited in again. Just overlooked your disease comment and didn't want to be tactless.
Turn to jshelr. Last turn for today.

Ok, one more turn. I decided to put up a download and didn't go to bed so far. 2550BC to jshelr. We made it in a few days as far as the PTW DG made it in 1-1/2 months.

I was just thinking about the very same thing. Still, the Demo game is quite fun.

Ok braintrust
here's my problem. I took a city that was size 4 and down to size 2 before the battle was over. We don't have any culture at all. Too much jungle to connect a road to our lux in a reasonable time.
waited a few turns for resistance to stop. then popped a temple. now i've got a size one city and the governor has the one citizen on entertainer. no pop growth.
what are my options to get this city up and running?
sent, BTW

I assume you just built the temple. Provided there was no pop-rushing before, next turn the temple should allow your citizen to work some land. You're up-and-running!
I hope this is not in our game, BTW!!

Two huts on same turn
Popped map, mostly water
Popped conscript, disbanded
this game's an emotional rollercoaster

Thanks. That's what I thought, but the governor kept the citizen as an entertainer. I think it's probably a city governor issue. I should not be so lazy.
