What do you do with repeat issues?
I have so far gotten 4 repeat issues, (I get 2 a day) and I'm wondering what poeple do with them. I hope I don't get many more... nationstates should update anyway.
I myslef try to keep to what I first decided as per my ideology, but sometimes might shift decision if I see that I need drastic social changes.
Do you vote the same way?

I vote with my ideology, except when my ideology doesn't really state which is better, then I vote with common sense. The only one I've voted differently on is the death penalty, as I felt if my people want it, they can deal with the consequences. I expect, when we have the first death sentance for someone later found innocent that they will ask for the death penalty to be abolished, which I will gladly do.

I read on the NationStates.net forum that there are only about 50 issues, so if you get two issues a day, expect to see the same ones often.

Very noble, following your people like that however, it will already be too late for the innocent man, won't it? And they will blame YOU for it! Then you will say "but you asked me to!" and they will say "you should protect us form our own stupidity!" and then you say "OK" and becaome a dictator... see how these things get out of hand?

50!? That sucks!!
so now they should update the server AND create more issues. Are you sure about this? where did you read it? 50 seems awful little to me considering everybody pretty much does 2 a day.

I found it in their forum, but reading it again, they give the number as 30 issues.

I dismiss them. Otherwise that issue would weigh more on my description than the others.

I never had a repeated issue, but when it happens I'll dismiss it. Hey, the government already decided about it.

I've had a total of 5 issues, and I just got my first repeat. :drip:
How does one get 2 issues a day?

Go to settings (just below your nation name in the top left of the screen) and select 2 issues a day.

I doubt it, my people are "intelligent" and my country is "full of students debating the merits of various civil and political rights". They need not protecting from their stupidity, and I'm not here to do that. If there clever enough to elect the leaders, their clever enough to choose and live with their decisions. However, I don't get how my "compassionate" playthings people ( sorry, Lemmy moment ) want the death penalty

It depends.
If my choice before affected the country badly, but I don't agree with the others, I'll dismiss it.
I just legalised gay marraige for the second time though.

I dismissed one new proposal the other day when I disliked all options, and I dismissed a repeat on arms buildup today.

Same as Kassi. Unless it's going to drag the economy down.

I'm the only person who voted for the second option
Today I had a repeat issue. I'm trying to increase my economy more. I cut taxes severely. Including welfare and all that crap. I doubt I'll be a left-leaning college state anymore . But I still feel that is a satisfactory libertarian thing to do.
I also voted to cut down the rainforest to mine uranium this time. Again for the economy boost.

My taxes are 19%, I have a World Benchmark rating; I care.
I dismissed another issue today. Ban bikes, ban cars, give money to auto industry. Uhhh, no.
You go on though, picking the lesser of 2 evils; just don't file for relief in my country.

Well we have some interesting takes. As a motorist myself, I could empathise with banning those bikes of major roads, and that we did. Of course we would have specific cycle routes and improved public transport to compensate

Public transportation? Yes, I see your point.
One can enjoy the sunshine and exercise in a bus or train just as easily as on a bicycle.
They're not supposed to take up the road though.
Single file, or they'll find themselves on the Endangered Species List.

I personally think cyclists shouldn't be on the road, rather they should be on the pavement whenever possible. I am of the belief that a collision between cyclist and pedestrian is better than between cyclist and SUV.
Trying to overtake a cyclist is a nightmare, and is a serious safety hazard. Unless the cyclist is going as fast as the usual flow of traffic, get off the road.

Too bad you can't build cyclist paths next to the orad. Thats everywhere in Hollandd. It really helps move things aong and people are more inclined to bike.

That's the ideal solution, but I don't see cycles paths being put on the agenda by government at any level. .
