Air units on Alert
Whenever i put air units on alert , they seem to be
chasing ghosts on the map instead of intercepting units. Is there a way to fix this?
Maybe via a patch?

I don't really have an answer, but a suggestion. Why don't you try putting at least some of both your planes and your navy on full automatic. The units will seek out and destroy the enemy almost as if they knew exactly where they were!
BTW, also try setting your 1 3r-t 3 foils to autoexplore. The foils will beeline to pods.

The obvious answer is: do not use the "alert" feature (duh).
It's useless anyway. If you have an interceptor unit in a base, it will automatically scramble for anti-aircraft defense if the enemy attacks you with jets/copters. (of course the back side of the coin is that you cannot prevent this behavior)

And, due to the "scramble bug" you don't receive the +100% mod for air to air combat.

And that's when you're lucky that a scrambling fighter doesn't cause a terranx.exe crash
