I'd like to try and keep playing this one, if you guys still want me to. If I feel that I am pressured too much, I'll drop out and let academia take over for me.

The Free World Strikes Back!
WASHINGTON/BRUSSELS (reuters) - Over the past months a crisis between the US and its Allies was growing. As the ignorant Soviet threats grew the Western goernments decided not to give in any longer - and pointed this out. Soviet ignorance is to blame for the outbreak of this new war.
Sick and tired of the threats the President of the United States addressed the Congress earlier this day:
"The United States along with its European Allies has declared war against the Soviet Union. This is our finest hour. This is the hour of Courage, Honour and Bravery. This is the hour we strike. And be advised: Once we strike, we strike fast, we strike often, we strike hardest. The US Airforce, supported by numerous units of the Navy and Army, made fast attacks against the
Soviet Union.
As you know, in 1945 one of our enemy was destroyed, while the second survived. It's time to make the communist world realise, that there is room for only
one Goverment type! Democracy. We will spread Freedom and Liberty among the subjuged people of the former USSR. We never conquer but we liberate!"
Following a decapitation attack on Moscow numerous Soviet Bloc cities were attacked too. The Army of the West crossed the Iron Curtain without meeting any kind of resistance. NATO troops marched through the German Democratic Republic whose people were reunited with the German Republic. Polandīs greatest cities Warsaw, Krakow and Gdansk were also liberated and the new established polish government thanked the Free World for "liberating us from this communist scum".
Following heavy aerial bombardments on Soviet troops the Army of the West has also liberated the following cities whose inhabitants are currently holding a huge party: Berlin, Dresden, Warsaw, Gdansk, Krakow, Riga, Minsk, Lvov, Odessa, Zagreb, Belgrade, Bucharest and Tirana.
Nukes fell on these cities: Moscow, Leningrad, Murmansk, Stalingrad, Kharkov, Kiev, Minsk, Warsaw, Budapest, Zagreb, Belgrade, Berlin, Dresden, Odessa, Svobodnyy, Yakutsk, Khabarovsk, Vladivostok, Magadan, Petropavlovsk; also many airbases in Siberia were bombed.
Half an hour after the US President held his speech NATO Chairman Manlio Brosio told the waiting journalists in Mons at a press conference that "Europe (...) will not stand aside once our greatest struggle, the struggle for Liberty, Freedom and Democracy has begun. The North Atlantic Treaty Organisation IS an ally of the USA and we will fight along with them until the face of the earth must not see this Evil Empire no longer.
In this hour the US can count on its friends in Europe.
In this hour the US and NATO ask the other democracies of the world to join our crusade against the Evil Empire.
In this hour I assure the remnants of the Soviet Government that we will neither rest nor stop before the unconditional surrender of the USSR."
[FiGu has no access to poly that day so he asked me if I could post his turn too.]

Woo-hoo! I was getting bored, but things seem to be heating up.
SEATO shall stand by her allies, and, if the need exists, hold the south-east Asian front secure. China should note, however, that this is not an invitation to war. Any cease-fire between our forces is still of course open to negotiation.

Beijing Standard
Chairman Chou Assassinated! President Chiang Reinstated!
In a bloody coup President Chiang Kai-Shek has reassumed power in Beijing. After seeing the capital of world communism, Moscow, in ruins, the Chinese people have turned their backs on the Communist party and demanded the return of President Chiang. Many high level Communist Party officials have been executed. However the President has stated he will allow the current bureaucracy to continue in power until the end of the war with Russia.
War Declared on Remnants of USSR
President Chiang's first orders to the military were to enter cities along the Soviet border, to liberate the people of the USSR from their Communist overlords. On his orders Tashkent, Alma-Ata, Svobodny, Khabarovsk, and Vladisvostok were liberated this month, it is expected the rest of the Eastern USSR will fall within 2 months.
SEATO Punished for Atrocities
SEATO's slaughter of Vietnamese civilians and Chinese merchant sailors has been answered. In retalition for SEATO's crimes, such as pillaging the road connecting Kunming to Hanoi and slaughtering a Chinese trade mission, the roads to Mandalay and Myanmaar have been destroyed, further, the SEATO paratroops that commited the dastardly act at Hanoi have been killed to a man, no prisoners were taken. Several SEATO ships and submarines were sunk in naval engagements. President Chiang is quoted as saying "If SEATO wants peace with the new, democratic, China they will have to prove their willingness by their actions.".

Damn, murdering and pillaging is not a sign of reconciliation, President Chiang!
However, PM Chancellor announced the overthrow of the Communist Bloc as "The decline of an imperialist despotism" and welcomes the emerging Nationalist Chinese state. All SEATO forces will stand down in return for the removal of all Chinese forces from Indochina, and a ceasing of support for the Vietminh.
