I felt it was kinda unfair for some of the smaller sites who didn't have as many members and am going to play this first one with the Designing site.
We may not win but we will have very good graphics!

May the Force be with you, Ghengis.

Great avatar, Thud! Goes quite well with Arnelos. Will there be more anti-Jedi avatars popping up soon?
Thanks, for the well wishes, everyone.

Sharpe and redstar1, you have got the thumbs up.
Sharpe - you had already joined the civ group (above) and were waiting for authorization - I have authorized you.
redstar1 - you need to join the civ group above before I can authorize. Thanks.
Welcome aboard folks. Polling on civ choice and the constitution awaits you.

Something tells me that GhengisFarb will be lobbying for all civilizations to join together in order to stomp the French into the ground and then sow their fields with salt...

Sow their fields with salt ?!
Awesome... perhaps Arnelos was a Roman in his former life.
I myself, believe I have been an Egyptian priest in one life.
Btw: I wonder why no teams have chosen the Romans?
Might have been the ultimate stupid look on the Caesar leaderhead. -->

Now, now, now.... just because that's where I got the idea from doesn't mean we have do what happened in RL in our game.... I'm sure the Carthaginians of this game would much rather that our fields weren't sewn with salt...
I was just wondering if GhengisFarb would lobby for his team to have a policy of "Frenchies Delenda Est", given GhengisFarb's general view on such matters

If its going to be much like the regular democracy game where I can lurk, occasionally post, and vote, then count me in. I doubt I have time to hold any offices though
Graduating and the insuing job search has pretty much taken me out of the regular civ3 demo game already.
Also, I haven't bought a copy of PtW yet which would also make holding any office rather difficult

This story shall the good man teach his son;
And Crispin Crispian shall ne'er go by,
From this day to the ending of the world,
But we in it shall be remembered-
We few, we happy few, we band of brothers;
For he to-day that sheds his blood with me
Shall be my brother; be he ne'er so vile,
This day shall gentle his condition;
And gentlemen in APOLYTON now-a-bed
Shall think themselves accurs'd they were not here,
And hold their manhoods cheap whiles any speaks
That fought with us upon Saint Crispin's day.
SIGN ME UP!

Honor among Civers
First, I'd like to say I would like to participate in some other fashshion other than just a 'citizen'.
Second, on the topic of 'spies' and related matter:
Yes, there may be a spy or two or three....
But I doubt that there will be any that will be in the Executive positions. Most people who play this game realize that there are many ways to cheat in the game, but they ALSO realize that it takes out the fun/challenge of the game at the same time. How many are going to devote so much time to this only to cheapen their efforts by cheating? I don't think that there will be any; at least at the Executive level. There WILL be citizens who undoubtedly will try to influence their superiors (in game terms) with their foreknowledge about the other civs; it is up the the Executives to remove from their teams people who exibit such behavior.
This is the way the game must go on. We must all be willing to use the honor system to some extent and count on the Executives to police their own teams. Spies will show themselves in time and the game will go on.
Let the game(s) begin!
