- It is forums, it is only fora when speaking about the Roman meeting-place kind of forum. Chowlett looked it up last time we had this discussion.

Great to see my ideas implemented!
But it is too far down in the forum list...

Indeed. Most of the threads seen so far have been interesting. Especially the AI discussion and a few others.

Yep, a great idea! I can talk about the type of broad civ-game issues that are really important to me without being OT. In retrospect we could've used it about a year ago. . . Better late than never

Actually I'm too more into Civ in general, than any specific Civ title. You get used to all of them when you've been reviewing almost all Civ websites out there. Maybe I should write a The Column writing about it.

this may attract me back to this site.
Now that Civ3 is out, and i dont yet have it, i dont feel relevant to discussions there. yet my preference is to discuss the franchise, its meaning and future, not the details fo civ2 strats, etc. SO this could be the place for the kind of more philosophical threads i like.
BTW, i dont think a seperate history forum will be warrented, i think this will be the right forum for that. expecially if the mods are open enough to allow discussion not only of gneral history, but of other history games (imperialism, Eu, tactical wargames) when they are on-topic to a phil or historical question relating to the genre.

Many of the threads in the Civ 3 General Forum should be made here instead. Maybe we should annnounce this forum more, or start moving threads here.

When Civ3 came out the mods were very quick to move all civ comparison threads to the community forum, where they used to live. But now they have a real home......I'd like to see them here too.

And of course, when a nearly 3 years old thread gets revived, DrSpike doesn't miss the opportunity to spam it.
