mp3 files for factions
I have been trying to get my mp3 files to be accepted in the AC game for my custom factions but I am having no luck.
The game is recognising the file but it is playing the mp3 in a way that sounds like a record on the wrong speed! Has anyone had a similar problem or have any ideas on what I can do to solve this problem?

I havent personally tried, but try halving your sampling rate. I imagine they used a much lower sampling rate that MP3s usually are (128) to lower file size. This will change the playback speed. Hope this helps. If cutting it in half doesnt work, I'm sure you can test it out and find the proper speed.

I believe this information can be found by doing a search in the AC-Creation forum. I tried it a while ago and ran into the same problem, but I never followed through.
Off-topic: has anyone ever found the files that contain the little bioscan movies? It would be SUPERcool to be able to make one of those for a custom faction....

Thank you all for your advice. I have now got the correct settings for AC's mp3 files. It is 32Kbps at
44100Hz. Anything else just does not seem to work.
