Aro, congratulations with your victory, may your term be as good as the current term and all glorious terms before.

Question - which election determins quarum? As a judge I would say this one. Anybody else have an opinion.

The quarum, I have not the faintest idea, but for the quorum, I would agree with you.

I would say the poll that actually elected the President.
The previous one simply elected the top two candidates. This one should elect the President.
That is, assuming your question was regarding a quorum and not an aquarium....

Personally, I'd probably say the original, as that was the 'standardized' poll that was guarenteed to happen -- whereas this poll could be seen as just 'clarifying' the original. Having said that, that's just my own personal opinion -- it's not something the ConCon discussed at all, IIRC.

The Court has already been discussing what we would do IF this election is tied. Should this election end as such we have a plan ready to be enacted at that time.
So long as no one cries "voter fraud." Please, please, please don't cry voter fraud or you're going to force us to review the votes which could take as long as one week.

Wouldn't that just mean I'd stay on as President (making it rather pointless anyhow)?
If Aro wins, on the other hand, that could be annoying. I'd let Aro make decisions as I don't think there's been any cheating.

Wow, my plea was meant to be a desperate and semi-joking comment. I never expected that 3 more votes for Arnelos would actually materialize!

This is offtopic, but I'd like to ask it here anyways:
Togas, since nye resigned, tere has been no Chief Justice. Although i know you rotate running the cases, the constitution says you have to elect a Chief Justice. Have you been chosen as chief justice (you made the elections and are running cases 9 and 10) or are you just being the most active member of the court right now and there is no chief justice?
Edit so i don't end up with a ton of posts in a row:
Aah! Another Aro vote! It's tied again!
Edit again:
Another Aro vote! The votes keep piling on! And tehre's still a whole day left in the election!

I'm not officially Cheif Justice, but I've been "acting" as such because most of the other Judges have been too busy.
We haven't resolved the Cheif Justice issue entirely as there's some disagrement about how it should be handled. But after Case #10 is done, if we get a little break, I think we'll hash it out. We've had too many other cases lately that have interrupted the discussion.

Aleion, please vote for Arnelos. I beleive that Arnelos runs the game efficiently and effectively. I beleive that Aro, though he is a good person and very capable, cannot do so as well. You can even base this on his own statements in the campaign thread.

Arnelos: Experience. A moderate. A fighter for the people and the industrialization of Apolytonia. A supporter of freedom for the slaves. Vote for him and you are voting for a good future for Apolytonia!

ACtually, way back in the beginning, when the parties were forming, i considered making an ACLU. It would've been like the DIA, but only represented the "Democratic" part and not the "Industrialists" part. It would've been a bipartisan organization for those wishing to make the game more democratic, regardless of their game strategy,

C'mon people! Nimitz, my running mate, has lost all three of his previous elections! He should win one for a change!
(Aro has three losses to go in order to catch up to Nimitz )
