I have a suggetion.
As there are well over 100 nations in Apolyton and it will be a huge task to fit every one who wants to be on the map exactly where they would like.
Why don't we divide the Region into subregions and allow each nation wanting to be mapped to choose a subregion.
Then each subregion creates a map and then we join the maps together.
I think a good starting point would be to first get a list of all the nations wanting to be on the map and update as nations request to be placed on the map.
If there are specific nations you wish to be close to, then your nations should try to choose the same region so that in that way you coordinate your borders.

Excellent idea, Ghengis
I suppose the easiest way to do this would be to have a thread where everyone provides a single post: which sub-region they are in. Whoever starts the thread would be responsible for updating the first post with the registry of which sub-region each individual nation is in.
Then map-makers for each sub-region can go about making sub-region maps and then sit down to put the maps together (although they should have had some idea of the general shape of how the sub-regions fit together before starting sub-region maps). Deciding on major region-wide attributes like major mountain ranges might be beneficial first.
First thing is first, though... how many sub-regions?

I guess a first step would be to determine the borders of Apolyton first.
What coastlines does the Apolyton Region have? Do we border other Regions and if so where are they on our borders?
It appears we have CFC Region on our east which extends to a north and south coast?

I think we should annex the CFC region or move them to our West.

I honestly prefer Apolyton being the "West" and CFC being the "East".

I agree with GhF.
I took the SE part of Aahz_cap's map on the other threads, and modified it a bit,
checking your wishes. Initial proposal for the map (notice the scale) :

If it's small enough, you can attach it. If not, you will need a hosting place for it, then use the [IMG]url[/IMG] code.

it is?
oh, you tried to link from your hard drive
only you can see it. if it's less that 500 000 bytes, you can attach it, but otherwise, as thiorn said, you need a hosting place for it, meaning web space. your hard drive is definately not a hosting place

Tuomerehu: I think you got Centralis and Nossland the wrong way around. We're supposed to be bordering Karakas.

Noosland specifically requested to border pasiphae. I'll mix it a little bit,
however I don't have the time now.

I agree, WAY too big... 56kbps modem owners are certainly not happy...
It would take minutes to load that with my ADSL... Delete that upload
