Hmm, if your reading this Ming, can I have +10% post count please ?
It doesn't hurt to ask, does it.
On-Topic I always feel hard done-by with post counting. I look at the date of joining. If someone's an Emperor after 3 months... can I smell spam cooking?

Me too. Of course, we already have something like that in the Suomithreadi, but that (2500) is only half of my OT-posts

Perhaps one of the techie geezers will tell us whether it is feasible........the site has good reasons for not counting OT posts, but I don't think there would be much objection to a separate OT post count.

Obviously, but the whole point of removing OT post counts is to cut spamming just to get a high post count. Why do you need to count OT postcounts other than to see who the biggest spammer is?

You're in an awkward mood today SD.
Either you'd allow everything and accept that the OT postcount was a spammometer (hehe I'm going to use that again ) or you'd moderate pure spam and allow people that spend a lot of time discussing current events etc to have a post count.
I only post there intermittently, and I wouldn't post there more if there was an OT count........but I empathise with posters that do seriously post there a lot.

@ Spikey's question
Well, you could start digging the code and make a such counter. So yes, it's possible but requires work and time. I haven't seen any ready-made solution for that.

It won't end as long as Taz doesn't agree to stand behind his words, because he is the one who started it again after we agreed not to comment each others posts. He started the first conflict and also violated this agreement, and thus started a second conflict. Well, I'm not the only one who's really tired of him.

It would be kind of interesting to see how many posts the OT regulars get in say a year...

I'd have almost 4000 posts if OT counted. I'm living proof that OT posts shouldn't count.
ACK!

Okay, here we go.
Settlers in OT--DLs
Settlers--I'm interested in what they say but usually they have more questions than answers.
Warlords, Chieftans--For some reason the only place I notice these are in the Civ3, Civ3PtW DG forums. Strange.
Prince (301-499)--no custom avatar! One of the regulars! (only 12 more IIRC until custom avatar )
Prince w/ Custom Avatar--yes. These dudes rock.
King--Good opinions, etc.
Emporer--Good opinions, etc. For some reason (maybe it's just me) Ming tends to pick on Kings, Emperors more often. Maybe it's just because they post more thus more chances to get a from Ming.
Diety--Staff, or Long Gone. Any surviving non-Staff Dieties, although I can't remember any off the top of my head, usually are associated in my mind with some amount of spamming or likewise mischief.

I suppose its theoretically possible that posters below deity level might occasionally make useful or interesting posts.
