My GOD is this Brain of Britain or what?
I am _VERY_ impressed. Not only does he(?) know the answer but also the _WHOLE_ possible answer. What can I say. If we ever play MoO3 MP then I'm dying to make a research treaty with you, even if you did kill your broker !
Actually I'm in Frankfurt (sp?) at the moment for a series of meetings, which are not happening right now, but I have my laptop with me. That's why my location said Germany.
Sadly I'm not on the boat, but I know a few guys that are. They say its really BORING !

The only comment I will make in regards to the Gone Gold article is that the EB announced street date is erroneous based on the current internal date.
There has been some speculation that a gold announcement will not occur until the day before the game is actually on the shelves.

how is it possible to from gold to shelves in one day?
or are they gonna keep the gold date hidden until they expect the game to be on shelves in order to have a big impact..
which is pretty underhanded.

isn't it wrong to not inform people of a gold date when it happens?
to purposely not release the gold date...
hmm

hee hee hee
that could mean that the EB date is too optomistic.
hee
if "rantz" means that the EB date is to pessimistic, then there he goes propping people up for a let down..again

As far as I'm concerned, the only date that isn't "too optomistic" is the December 1st, 2003 date. And I'm not too sure about taht.

Yes, they keep it hidden
Hey, it isn´t that bad.
You read about the game going gold one day
and the next day you are already able to buy it

If Rantz is posting that there may have been some speculation...
I don't know what to think.
My brain hurts, I think I'll just wait untill my pre-order comes. Maybe that will be _BEFORE_ the gold announcement (?!?!?)

We've all been waiting on this one and it seems the wait is almost over. If everything goes according to plan, you should expect to see a "Gone Gold" announcement as early as Tuesday, 01/21/03.
|
...U know the world was supposed to end at the start of this millenium as well. I went to that Website. I didn't see where moo3 was listed and the search engine is 'temporarily unavailable'. Typical. As many people have said. I shall believe it when I see it...until then back to

Typical IG form then, since Civ3 and PTW were both announced as GOLD and were in the stores less than a week later.
At least IG is not like Blizzard where they announce GOLD 3-4 weeks ahead of when the game will actually be available.

Well its evidently not Gold yet since Rantz is afraid of "Jinxing" anything.
Either that or he's just F'ing with us, but that seems pretty unlikely.

Damn, this thread title is like reading Orwell's "1984" or Clarke's "2001 A space odissey" now in 2003.
Mark should stamp "Out of date" across such teasing titles, after their expiration date...
A brief check in GoneGold easily shows that this thread is nothing more than...
obsolete news about a past future
