Forbidden Palace
Hi All
I must be missing something very simple.
I am playing on a regular map, have a palace at one end of my continent and want to build the Forb Palace at the other end.
The ideal city that I want to build it in is not allowing it as an option under the build list. It appears greyed out as though somewhere else is already building it. This is definately not the case as it appears in other cities build lists as available to build.
Is there a minimum population required in the city that you wish to build the FP in?
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated before corruption cripples the southern lands under my control!
Thanks
Andy

Ah, in the city that has it greyed-out, try looking in the city's build queue. It might be already in its queue - or in the build queue of one of your other cities.
And to answer your question: No. There is no minimum population requirement to build the FP. I hope this helps.

andy:
There is a limit with the FP, you must have half of the OCN number of cities before having the option to build. However since it is greyed out this is not the problem in your case, as the FP simply does not appear as an option until you reach the required number of cities. The most probable explanation is that you have rushed a building or unit in the city (or had shield added by deforestation, or by disbanding units) in which case you cannot build the FP in that city until the city completes the improvement or unit you are building.

It sometimes happens for no reason too. This is usually fixed the next turn.

Thanks all for the responses.
I checked the other cities and all of them could build the FP except for the one I wanted. Next turn the same. I then chose a city to build the FP and next turn changed the build orders for that city back to cathedral.
Then the city where I wanted to build the FP in now allowed me to do so.
Minor mission accomplished.
Cheers
Andy
