Sogorrah announces it's intention to join

The Free Land of Sogorrah shall announce it's intention to join the Apolyton region.

As a new member, it is disturbed by the recent departure of The Commonwealth of Pasiphae. After browsing the historical archives, Sogorrah has determined that the cause is the bully state of Sheepsta. Hence, Sogorrah's first act as a citizen of Apolyton is to declare open hostilities with the sanctimonious, terror spreading rogue state of Sheepsta.

As a new member, Sogorrah looks to those Sheepsta has callously harassed in the past and present such as Alecrest to provide guidance. Specifically, as a newbie to RPG's, are the events anything the author can imagine, or does it somehow relate to the game at NationStates.net?

The events are anything you can imagine, within reason.

For example, several people were very angry at Sheep recently for insisting on ridiculous events and then refusing to back down when people objected or offered other events. (Specifically, he insisted that he had obliterated Alecrast with nuclear weapons.) As long as you keep your head, there shouldn't be any problem.

(I've been thinking there should be rules of engagement, but I can't think of the right way to enforce them . . .)

Anyway, there's also discussion about issues that appear in the game, like you might have seen in the "Post your news to this thread" thread.

Remember, too, that the point is just to have fun!

Sogorran engineers have discovered an area with abundant sources of the material anacron. However, anacron is usually found near the radioactive ore anacras. The discovery will provide a tremendous boost to the economy, however the workers of Sogorrah are unwilling to toil in such dangerous conditions.

The Squall, the secret intelligence force of Sogorrah, has implemented a plan to lure the citizens of Sheepsta to Sogorrah. They will be put to work as slave labourers in the anacron pits. Posters were distributed all over Sheepsta of the women of Sogorrah- the finest in the world- with promises of marriage in Sogorrah. Naturally, the brutish looking men of Sheepsta fell for the trick, and within weeks the anacron pits were filled to capacity with around 3000 Sheepsta slaves.

Proceeds of the extraction will go to Pasiphae to help them rebuild in their new region.

This acts against the people of Sheepsta are un called for. We request that you return the people back to Sheepsta. Slavery is immoral and inhuman and violates peoples civil rights. We are now cutting off all ties with you nation, we have no dealings with nations that pratice slavery. Sheepsta may be ruled by a dictator, but en slaving its people is no way to stop a dictator, infact you are becoming one yourself.
