Help - no limits
In a normal civ game there is a limit of 255 cities. Does anyone know whether Julius Brezaida's "No Limits" mod eliminates this ceiling?
This would help me complete my Current World scenario.

No it alliviates the population counter stopping at 320,000; the treasury fliping out around 32,000, and allows for larger map sizes.
I does NOT change the 255 city limit (which apparently is wire isto multiple different registers keeping track of city functions) nor does it stop the rollover of future tech at 256.
It may also have the effect of disabling the scenario editor.

A pity, it seems it's hardwired into the game - maybe Civ 3 will do better. Thanks anyway.

Yes, I tried and failed with MGE. I made a patch, but the game crashes after 272 cities and the new cities produces units supported by older cities.
I'm going during my next holidays to try for ToT. I don't promise anything, but as so many people are asking for it, I feel compelled to try.
BTW, Roman, I'm a fan of the slovakian hockey team. I hope they win it all this year in the world championship !

I'm sure Civ3 will provide 'better' limits than Civ2 does. And I hope we won't ever again be confronted with limit problems, in any computer game... I think those limits are antiquated. OK, low system demands are cool, but limits just suck, so they should try to find a good compromise.

Julius you have done an excellent job with the no limits patch already. I doubt removing the city limits will work, though if you managed to bypass the limit partially already, who knows.
BTW: We will win the W. Championship.

PS.
Julius, you seem to be an expert in hexediting. How does it actually work?

Julius:
Any change of getting the thing to work with normal, plain Civ2? Without any ToT's or MGE's?
