Search for yourself...on the Internet
Anyone ever get bored and do this?
Worse, anyone ever find themselves?
Because I just did...
Typed in "David Floyd" (excluding the word "Pink") on Yahoo, and site #62 was a post I made on an old message board in 1999. Iain Lindley was on there too
The search continues.
Anyone else?

been there, done that.
luckily there are a ton of people with my name . Helps protect my real name a little bit. I was disappointed my real name showed up on irc. I have to figure out how to edit my options.
P.S. If I search my screen name I get too many results. It's a commone word- especially in the news.

Did it, couldn't find a thing...
Not sure if that's a good or a bad thing.

Exactly what I wanted to say.
Your search - "Eli ..." - did not match any documents.

This searching for yourself thingy is fun.
I have a fairly uncommon name, and was amazed to find dozens of people around the world with the same one as me.
Didn't find myself though!

The computer age is wonderful.
Now those who couldn't find their ass with both hands can search for themselves on the internet.

I search for myself on Google occasionally, in order to see which college papers have picked up my opinion column. Luckily, I share a name with a respected intellectual, so my results are buried a good ten pages deep on Google. You have to enter a few qualifiers to get to my stuff, so my secret identity is safe...

When I do my maiden name, I get an old newspaper article that briefly mentions me and a Beatles quiz thing that I did a long time ago. Nothing with my married name, not surprisingly.

Although there are a fair few people called Paul Hanson in this great wide world, I appear to be the only one called Paul Jeroen Hanson.
Makes me feel kind of special.

And just think of the time 60's people could have saved finding themselves, if they'd only had the internet.

Well, the first few results are from the web page of some French guy.
The last two on the front page are actually me, though.

I have only been able to find one person (except for me) who has the same first name and last name as I (that was some 12 year old South-American girl), but when including my middle name, I got no results... guess I'm special
