Ah I see. Most of the time the company doesn't care enough to kick up a fuss, but when they do the more well known abandonware sites remove the games in question.

Unless they do give consent... it's illegal... even if they don't kick up a fuss...

If I'd realise I was snitching I wouldn't have......my only point to make was a Berz sighting, not what he was actually doing.
Damn these Canadian beavers are slow. :

You can't really be considered a snitch if you aren't even aware that you are actually snitching on somebody

Hmmm, could we get back on-topic?
How about automated settlers to irrigate where no water is available? Cheat or legal (since if it decides not to irrigate and prances off in some god forsaken direction, you can't reset, so you lose a turn or two of work/movement from that setter. So there is a risk vs reward angle when trying it. I know we don't irrigate much in 2x, but it does happen.
My initial thoughts would be, legal since it usually doesn't work more than it does work.

Lol, if you are brave enough to face automated settlers you probably deserve the reward. That being said it probably isn't that hard to figure out the algorithm so that you can use it reliably..........since your group relies on honour I'd ban it.

There was some work done to try to figure out auto settler priorities but there never was a difinitive answer, so it remains a crap shoot. Which is why I have no problem with it. If someone comes up with reliable analysis on predictability, then I might think otherwise.

I've never done it... but I don't see anything really bad with it. Especially considering the possible results of putting a settler on auto mode

I tried it for the first time in an MP game last Saturday. (which is why I brought it up) The results were less than satisfying. The settler promptly made a beeline for the frontier. I was in attack mode, marshalling forces to move on some cities so I wasn't paying enough attention so the settler moved next to an enemy city.

Hehe, let me guess, the player involved was happy to make contact with the settler from your proud and valiant nation, and decided to use the occasion to offer the hand of friendship and usher in an era of peaceful cooperation.

As always... a fast and efficient job CW.
However, I see no mention of using that trick to build wonders on the same turn you get a science

Well, don't I feel stupid.
The only reason I tried it was for one of those Gold based cities that had a lot of plains around it. There was no immediate water near and I would have had to irrigate a couple of desert squares to bring the water close enough. I had built a bunch of settlers to expand by that city only to find that all the land nearby had already been claimed. As I immediately switched production to cats to "settle" that territory, I had a settler that was just standing around so I tried it.
So I guess it really was boredom.

I only destroyed one city before we lost you. More would have fallen, especially since he still wasn't researching math.
But the Final result for HH was already written. Kudos to him for losing his capital and still fighting on despite the inevitable. Most people would have quit. He showed some class.

It's just a trick using the same principle as Xin's new shield saving thing, but for a different end, namely building a wonder the same turn you get a tech.
