stupid questions
SORRY FOR THE STUPID QUESTIONS:
1) HOW DO I ADD A DESIGN TO MY NAME AS MOST OF YOU DOES.
2) IN THE FORUMS I SEE MYSELF INDICATED AS SETTLER. HOW IS IT. HOW CAN I MODIFY IT?
THANK YOU.

1) Click on the Control Panel link at the top of the page. The images are called "avatars." You can pick one from those supplied. When you have made 500 posts, you may supply your own graphic.
2) This depends on the level of your participation (the number of posts) in these forums. It will change automatically when you qualify.

When you are in the control panel, you will see a navigation bar that includes "edit options." Click on that and go to the bottom of the page to find yet another link to information about avatars. Read this information first.
Then you can set or change your avatar by clicking on the "Change Avatar" button.

I got a stupid question.
I'm active in about 6 different threads, including one I turned out to lose interest in.
Normally I recieve about 10 new messages from Apolyton, which is good, because work tends be slow and I have lots of time to waste around here.
But a few days ago the e-mails stopped, even though there are new messages on my threads.
So my questions are these:
1.) Why did I stop recieving instant e-mails from Apolyton?
2.) How do I "desubscribe" from a thread? Can I?

As a follow up to these questions...
I just went to my personal profile and it showed me subscribed to only 2 threads (the two I joined today)!!! I was removed from all my threads!!!
Why would this happen? I haven't posted anything offensive...

1) Don't know. It happens from time to time.
2) Go to Control Panel. It will display subscribed threads that are current (I think that's why there are so few), with buttons for unsubscribing. There is a link that says "See all subscribed threads." That screen gives all you have subscribed to, with the unsubscribe buttons.

Yes... I think I must have hit "unsubscribe all" in the notification e-mail by mistake.

Perhaps there is a limit to how many replies are mailed to you (a columbia shuttle thread in the OT section is getting close to 500 posts in less than 2 days, imagine getting your inbox flooded with all those mails!).
BTW, is being "subscribed" to a thread the same as asking to get replies mailed?

speaking of the levels, that last post got me to Warlord...
You can check out how many posts you need to go up a level in the Apolyton FAQs.

Now I've got a question
what do the A: D: M: HP: reflect in the user profile? I'm sure it referrs to attack/defense/movement/hitpoints but what does that have to do with the posts?

I have no idea what they're about, maybe I should start a thread posting this question.
BTW, for those who don't know what i'm talking about, you can see these stats when clicking your name at the bottom of the forum list (where all the names of people online are)

The A/D/M/HP notation has been discussed here in a very long thread. When I read it, I gave up on trying to figure it out, since there were so many theories and not much hard fact, although later posts may have cleared up the mystery.
From what I remember, there is no relation to attack/defense/movement/hitpoints, but rather to posting stats, how close you are to moving up a level, etc.
There may be something on this in the FAQ; I haven't checked it lately.
