Help with UUs...
How do you make it so that an old version of a unit upgarde to a custom unit? (ex. Pikemen to Musteer.)

When you add the unit in, go to the "obselete" unit in the editor and set the "upgrade to" to whatever unit you want it to upgrade to.
Example:
Spearman -> Yari Samurai
Go to "Spearman" in the editor and set the "Upgrade To" setting to the "Yari Samurai".
Also note that if there's more than one in the same category, you'll have to set a particular upgrade path.
Example:
Horseman -> Knight -> Rider -> Mameluke -> Mangudai -> Samurai Cavalry -> Cavalry
In this case, set the Rider exclusive to China, the Mameluke exclusive to the Arabs, the Mangudai exclusive to the Mongols, and the Samurai Cavalry exclusive to the Japanese. All of these UUs would replace the "Knight" unit for these civs. But when you upgrade them, they'll upgrade to "Cavalry".
Also note that there's a sort of hierarchy here. If you have the Rider replace the "Knight", then you'll have to set it to upgrade to the "Mameluke", then the Mameluke upgrade to the "Mangudai", the Mangudai upgrade to "Samurai Cavalry", and finally the "Samurai Cavalry" upgrade to "Cavalry". This way, the UUs that replace the Knight would directly upgrade to "Cavalry".

Open up your mod in the editor. Go to the Units page. Look for the "Upgrade to:" field then pull down the menu. Select what you want to change it to.
You don't need PTW in order to do it.

You just need to put one unit, then go to that second unit and make it upgrade to the third one in the chain, then go to the third unit and tell it to upgrade to the fourth... and so on. then the first unit upgrades through to the last.
