I have some doubts.
Well, well, I have read in several places that matters such as wars are handled in a RP way. My question is, how does that system work? It is like a, lets say, Sim Battle, or a completely different system? Or there is a pre made ruling, with staticts, pre calculated variables and such?

Basically, there are no rules except those that everyone agrees on. We had some trouble with that a while ago, when somebody tried to nuke somebody else, which started a big flame war over it.

Nothing. Join the C3DG and the DIA
Seriously, there is no real way to carry out battles.

GeneralTacticus,
Apparently, Thud doesn't ever give up on recruitment. I didn't even put him up to this one

I'd ask him to join the ACDG but we would never lower ourselves to that level.

Seriously, we have rather more need for more people at the ACDG than at the C3DG. It seems that right now something like half our active citizens are in government, which makes elections (unless they involve Archaic) more like a cabinet shuffle.

Now, I have repeatedly heard about these "democracy games" since a long time ago. But, what are those? Some kind of modified multiplayer game with Civ games, something like Nation States or another form of political roleplay?

Bascially, a Democracy Game is where you have one game of Civ (or SMAC, or whatever), and you have a bunch of people playing it together by electing a President (or whatever), who plays the game, and a group of ministers, who control various aspects of your civ (or faction, or whatever), such as the military, the economy, etc. Policies are usually voted on via polls, and the game provides a vehicle for enormous amounts of political roleplaying, which is usually very enjoyable.
It's also a very good way to boost your post count very fast without being accused of spamming.

DGs let everyone vote and play a role in deciding how the game is played, what you build, and deciding things like war or peace.

Hmm, then it sounds quite fun. I should try a SMAC version of that someday.
Thanks for the explanation.
