Got a touch of the old flu, eh?
Imagine you Ozzies get it pretty bad down there in the tropic!
There's a good episode, Fin: Laddie and Lassie confined to their room, with buckets and a clear path to the bathroom...a laugh riot!

Sorry, lads, I shan't be around tonight. Off to the theatre. Mrs finbar thought it time I immersed myself in some kulcher.

"Ministers' Offices" 2 ministers, 2 offices. Is the apostrophe in the right place?

Well done, Doctor. I'm pleased to know I can leave this thread in safe hands. And it was good to see Horse working it out. It really is just logic.

But please let's not get onto the matter of more than one Governor General. Or more than one Gin and Tonic.

Horse got stuck into me last night after I made peace
I was going to be nice to him in this game too!
At least he didn't stuff around for 30 mins discussing borders - afterall these agreements aren't worth the paper they're printed on
So he very sensibly tried to settle the border militarily...
My losses in 2000BC in this fascinating 2x 1x game.

Keep using them and you will educate these people. I've always thought of you as a Great Educator.

Yes, I imagine there are at least four little boys who now know the fine art of de-winging insects.
So, what did we take in tonight, Finbar? I hope it wasn't something tedious like Mourning Becomes Electra?

We had sufficient players for a game tonight but some stuff about Mrs Horse having a birthday tomorrow was enough to make Mr Horse retire.
So no game unfortunately and another wasted night

I was keen to play but unfortunately Telstra saw fit to have the entire cable network down from 5pm until 11:30pm......
I'll be around tomorrow though.

Mrs Horse must be getting old as she seems to have 15 birthdays a year.

I got home at about 11pm and my cable was up and running. Telstra can have some very localised problems. There was a huge Sydney-wide downtime back in January. Their launch pad is also unstable, especially for Macintosh. I finished up ditching their launch pad and installing a custom-built launcher that overcomes all the problems. Bastards!

Yes, they are. Maybe it was fixed by 11, as I must confess I only checked it once an hour after 7:30pm (their original predicted time of resumption of service). I think it affected all of Sydney although I'm not sure.
Anyway as it was the 3rd time it was down in the last week (for my area anyway), I rang up and made a formal complaint (normally I am too lazy). I suggested to them that they should offer free dial-up access to broadband customers whenever there were problems, although I doubt much will happen.
This morning I received an email saying they were giving everyone 25% of their monthly fee back for March, but all I really wanted was access. I am sure it would be cheaper for them to have free dial-up backup than lose $15 a month.
Anyway enough whinging from me.......
Fingers crossed for Civ tonight....
