I'm new. I want play civ2MP online as fast as it's possible! ;-)
Hi,
I'm new guy here and I've never played civ2 with human opponents. I desire it!
I'm not the best, not the worst. Usually I play on deity level.
greets,
floyd

Usually... it helps if you post the times you can play. Since you are from Poland, it might be tough, because the majority of people here are in US time zones or Australian time zones... There are some European MP'ers, but not many...
But welcome and good luck.

I can spare a few hours for a fellow European this weekend. Just PM or use ICQ to contact me and I'll see when I'm available.

Why don't you go play a different game, it's obvious you're not cut out for civ2. In fact, candy land might be more your level judging by your post. Yes, you suck. No, nobody wants to play with a dumb newbie, because that's all you are. Now why don't you get off my forum while I'm still in a good mood? ****ing newbies.

I see Happy is being his normal self
Most of the current groups are looking for new players.
As long as you don't quit when you are behind, you will be accepted

Many people play that setting Happy. Especially if their past experience has been SP. You might have problems with that setting, but people do play it.

Not much, but once in a while you get that itch to have a go again
The game is going to start in about 15 min (11:00 CET). Any takers besides floyd?

War4ever,
I'm sure we'll get a chance on Civ2 MP someday...
Floyd,
If you're reading this, could you activate your ICQ? Much easier to contact you this way.

Floyd,
I've noticed you've joined. Just select your Civ and we're off.

Floyd had to install the patch first. We did get a test game running in the end. The real fun will start later today at 21:00-23:00 CET.

I'm waiting 21:00 CET impatiently. ;-)
Special thanks to CapTVK for his support and kindness.
I'm not beginner in Civ2. I don't have experience in MP game only. I spent many, many hours playing Civ2 single on deity level. However, it doesn't mean I'm good opponent for you in MP. It's new experience for me and I will do my best. ;-)
greets,

MP and SP are TOTALLY different games. Playing against somebody that actually thinks is a BIG DIFFERENCE. I hope you enjoy it.
Good luck.

yeah good luck, just remember to duck when the catapults start throwing their rocks....haha
and don't be discouraged, it takes a few games to make the adjustment...
too many braggarts have come through here stating they are deity gods, then they get their a$$es handed to them in their first mp game and we rarely hear from them again

So true... it's amazing how much tougher it is. You start to realize just HOW STUPID the AI really is.
And it's far more fun beating up on somebody who can "feel the pain"

I like Civ too much, than first and possibly another defeats don't discourage me.
I'm going learn, collect experiences... and back as a really hard player :-)
Defeats are the best lessons, I think.
I've lost fun playing SP. It's boring. I need sth new, such as MP.

Yes... I still find it addicting even though we have played for years. I still have that "one more turn" desire.
And good luck on school. Don't let a Civ addiction keep you from graduating

There's no really problem at the time. I've just passed my winter exams and have winter holiday.
But... hearing words like heroin, civspotting... I remember this condition when Civ I and II appeared... And I'm really afraid about my summer semester because I'm sure I'll love MP.
