FIRAXIS: Server Trouble?
What the f*ck is going on with your servers firaxis? it's 1:01 AM on 1/25/02, and the servers are messed up.
my game lags in the lobby to all hell. my friend's game lags to a crash when he gets into the lobby, and my other friend gets into a lobby but sees no chat or games.
direct IP does not work for some reason, despite the fact that all the ports are properly routed and what have you.
give us direct TCP/IP without any stupid lobby crap. it doesn't work.
note: you will be excused if some massive server patch was installed that fixes all of MP's problems.

Chill bro. A lot of servers were down all over. If you would've checked around you would've decuced that as I did. Some major attacks were going around with devastating effects.
It sounds like a coordinated effort of some really bad people. Lets just hope that there are some administrators out there up to the task.

From ABC News:
"Traffic on the Internet slowed dramatically for hours early Saturday, the effects of a fast-spreading, virus-like infection that overwhelmed the world's digital pipelines and broadly interfered with Web browsing and delivery of e-mail.
Sites monitoring the health of the Internet reported significant slowdowns globally. Experts said the electronic attack bore remarkable similarities to the "Code Red" virus during the summer of 2001 which also ground online traffic to a halt."

The latest attack was likely to revive debate within the technology industry about the need for an Internet-wide monitoring center, which the Bush administration has proposed. Some Internet industry executives and lawyers said they would raise serious civil liberties concerns if the U.S. government, not an industry consortium, operated such a powerful monitoring center.
