(sorry for that terrible color; i didn't know it would be so ugly and i am too lazy to edit it. )
(just highlight it)
BTW, maybe in the VR-Room i can have a Future Predictor that tells me how ugly the color will be...

A food machine that pumps out an endless stream of food without putting anything in. I'd take it to the Philippines and feed everybody.
A device that would fill the oceans w/fish again and one that would regrow all the forests.
A widget that would tell me that 'if you make a friend outa this guy, he'll turn on you eventually'. Or, 'catch up with that guy, there's a friend worth having.'
A pizza teleporter so I could have a fresh, hot, cheese pie from Newton Pizza in Newton NJ...without ever having to go to NJ again! If you go there tell Sam that Lance sent you.
He'll say "who da **** is Lance?" ...but he makes a great pizza pie.

Some kind of Replicator,
yep thats what I want to.
You give some matter into it,
maybe a stone, a leaf or something else and the Device transforms the moleculse and atoms into something new after your wishes.
But I would also like a Duplicator,
where you have to give the thing you wish to be duplicated into a small box and the device just makes a perfect Copy of it (O.K., where is my 100 Euro-Note?)

replicator. scan anything you want, get a map of it's make up, on whatever level is feasible (molecular, quark, etc), and recreate it. add communication compatibility and be able to replicate materials on earth and send the map to another planet, to allow them to replicate it there.
it aint too far away.

Either of these renders capitalism obsolete, because there will be no scarce resorces anymore - except time.

Yep, the trick is to keep the invention secret, if you´re the one who has invented it

Soma.
Or better, a pill like soma, but also incorproates Enertron and the work-out pill.
And I am completely against any sort of chip in the brain. It could lead to chips that could convey any ability the user requested. If you ask me, I will explain my answer, but for now it's off topic.

i discussed this with some people in my minds and machines (cognative science) classes, and the general consensus is that it would be great for a lot of things (imagine being able to define any word by thinking about it, recalling historical facts etc) but there are a LOT of drawbacks.
most notably, getting hacked.
not to mention that a lot of fake/incorrect information is put onto the web, it would be hard to distinguish it all.
another problem like this is related to telekenisis. if someone transfers a though into your head (or, if the internet did it), how readily would you distinguish it from your own? couldn't someone transmit thoughts of, say, pro-nazi ideals, and you may actually think they are your own thoughts?
imagine getting your neural chip "flooded" by some lame IRC kiddie with a grudge. bah. too scary for me.

I live-forever machine.
A full-sensory hologram device over the Ultra-fast internet.
fusion power.
a spaceship that looks like a jet fighter, but can go to space, and fly as fast as you can, even faster than life...
A device that would make all men, and all women good looking, smart, intelligent and good-hearted....
ok, now I am just being childish.
