why it's smac so cheap?

Last time I went to the U.S, SMAC price was $14.99 dlls at Babbage. Even Multiplayer Civ2 Gold had an higher price!!! It makes you think that the game isn't good enough, and that stores want to get rid of inventory.. When I bought it, back in Feb 1999, it was $55 dlls...

Just FYI, yesterday I have seen SMAC on sale in 'Electronic Butique' in Toronto for CAD$7.99, that's about US$5 - now that's what I call cheap!

Unfortunately, Alien Crossfire is till full price there... Otherwise I would've bought another copy, so that I do not have to carry around the CD to play on different computers.
