PTW and Norton Systemworks 2003 Pro
I recently installed Systemworks 2003 and now when I try to play PTW, the CD spins and I get the spinning CD icon, but the game won't work. I've tried reinstalling the game, launching it different ways, etc but still no luck. And Symantec charges $20 a call for tech support!
I was wondering if anyone else has run into this problem or might have a possible solution.
Thanks in advance!

hi ,
trow systemworks of your comp , there is far better stuff out there
make sure you uninstall civ and ptw , do a search and look for files like civ , civilization , infogrames , etc , ..... delete and reboot , turn all your security programs off (!) install , get patch , turn security programs on , if asked in one way or the other to accept the changes , click yes , reboot again and it should work
you can also click on the drive the CD is in and click on "auto play" , ....
have a nice day

Start PTW from the disk and not a shortcut. Sounds stupid but it works for some problems.

Aias;
Try their website instead of calling them there is a place to e-mail problems with their software. Personally I prefer Nortons Internet Security (made by the same company). The problem may also be with your PTW disk or files.

Use the Symantec auto-upgrade feature to update your Systemworks.
My friend had some sort of problems with Systemworks 2002 buggind some games, and upgrading the product helped.

I did try the full uninstall of Civ 3, PTW, and both of the patches. i then reinstalled. It worked until it crashed to my desktop, and now I'm having the same problems again!
I did send an email to Firaxis' technical support yesterday, so hopefully I'll hear back early next week.
Updating Systemworks didn't help either.
Any new ideas?

hi ,
you have to turn norton off , then look for files like civilization , infogrames , PTW , etc , ..... manually , then delete them , accept changes with norton , reboot , reinstall with security down , get patches , enjoy , ....
have a nice day
