Also, unless HTower is planning on playing one last lame duck session today, I'm going to want reports from the outgoing ministers.

Congratulations to my opponent, obiwan18 for his success in the election. I'm sure he will do a fine job as our new MoW.

Science minister's report: After radio, get mass prod and then computers.
And I thought I saw the city planners report floating around in a thread.

I think the problem is Kazan and Issus. Nothing was ever settled about what to do...

Depending on what our minister of war and the public decide on re: Issus/Kazan, we may want to have a poll on whether to divert to Mobile Warfare.
I'll want to take a look at the tech trees to see whether we'll need MW or any other military techs anyway, to get to SuperConductor. If we'll need military techs anyway, we might as well get them sooner rather than later.
Also, usually if you ignore one of the 4 tech classes, eventually the program leaves you with no options from the other 3 classes, when selecting a new tech to research. That's something else to consider.

I'd like to take this opportunity to thank the electorate of Apolytonia, for electing me with the largest margin of plurality out of all the candidates in this election.
Clearly the people have spoken, and consider Five Thousand Year Old Banana to be 'yesterday's man'.
PM sent, ixnay.

It seems to be more of a "special projects" kind of a job; one that someone volunteers to do as the spirit moves them. I fear that, by this point, it's rather too large a task for anyone to take on.
Any volunteers?

You just haven't been "here" long enough to get any voters annoyed yet.

Question: What is our illustrious President's plans for 1865? Are you going to play based on what was discussed after picking a VP? Do you want us to give official reports based on it? Do you want the new cabinet to post polls before those reports? Other?
*Goes off studying all the documents left by his predecessor in the event he is needed before 1867*

I take it that new Ministers should wait to poll until after the next session?

Ah, good to have that cleared up
Gives me a little more time to get aquainted with the official documents. Lots of work trying to find 28 active freight scattered all over the map

yes, 4 food shipments supported by Seville around Seville, with a 5th food one being built
oops, each of those 4 food are really a stack of 4 each, with a couple oil mixed in... ok, quickly found 23 of 28 with that little tidbit (hey! would have found them eventually once i realized there were more than 4 freights near seville )
guess that leaves me to find 5 shortly and familiarize myself with the current ability to raise funds in a short period of time (obiwan's suggestion of selling white goods is making more and more sense in the short term)

Amazingly, we have 28 active freight and 6 in production. I had no idea we were so rich in freight!!! Surely that will give us a leg up on the Space Race....

With that many freight, surely there are enough for Seti and Apollo.
