shadowlord3, althouhg i consider myself an experienced player in SP games, i can't say the same thing for multiplayer. So i must admit that reading the PBEM tournament rules made me wonder : how can someone know wether another player has used one of the exploits ?

Did anyone send me a turn yet? If so I think I trashed it by mistake.

Mostly the honor system but it is possible to tell with some violations. Also when in doubt just ask the person and they will usually tell you what happen. You can also e-mail the CMN the turn(s) and they can open and play everyones turns to see what took place.

PS-I didn't know how to use the Look First option if it was indeed turned on...so I just started where it put me.

I guess my going away isn't going to cause a problem after all since at this rate we'll only be doing one turn a week probably

(not a complaint!)

One question though : is there a bug that changes the city's look from one turn to another? my Hive looks like a Domai city!
It wasn't like that in the previous turn... What the he#$@%.. my citizens are revolting already?

It seems strange that your cities are revolting already. Drones has a chance to pick up revolting cities though.

I played a whole (single player) game as the Drones once, and the AI had no idea how to control its near-constant rioting; I never once picked up one of their cities from it.

I've not got my turn yet, but I bloody well hope I do get it before tomorrow because that's when I'm going on holiday!

Hello guys, I need some help. I had been running with a no-CD program since I didn't want anything to happen with my SMAX CD because I play on a luggable sometimes (wayyy too heavy to call a portable) and if left in car, is not replacable if cooked. Well my year 2103 turn locked up - tried reloading, got the "I'm telling everybody notice" still tried to play all I got was a large blank game screen - all the outlines where the data goes, no info. Okay I thought, my fault for playing with the no-CD terranx, unearthed my CD's (took forever to find the original SMAC, sorry on delay) and reloaded, making sure I load the third SMAX patch. It does the exact same thing. Help? The first turn played fine, and my replacement game with our CMN no problems. Send an unzipped .sav to hjcarr01@athena.louisville.edu - less reliable address, will permit BIG attachments.

And the reloaded game plays previous solo games - and a new PBEM game - just fine. I could reopen my first turn for this game but then the game will send out the cheating notice - mind if I try?

I wouldn't care, but you have about three hours to get me the turn or we go a week without playing. I'd do whatever you can...

The turn that shawnmmc sent me did not work.
Options are:
Sevencubed can send me the turn and I try it again.
Sevencubed can rezip/resend the turn to both shawnmmc and myself, it may of got corrupt along the way.
Sevencubed can replay the turn and than resend.

I say we start over. There is no telling when the file got corrupt. since we just started it we should at least start at the beginning of this game.

I doubt you need to start over, normally just rezipping and resending the file will solve the problem.
