I really liked Moo2... While I think that Civ II is a far superior game, Moo kept my attention longer than most games. I will probably wait until people have had a chance to play it and give some "educated" reviews vs the crap that appears in mags. Civ in space does sum it up nicely

Yeah... I will probably buy it "IF" there are good things said about it by people that actually play it. If it's anything like Moo2, and they didn't screw it up, it should be a great game.

I empathise......but there are online reviews that don't pander to the game designers, that will say the game is crap if it is crap.
And player reviews have to taken with a pinch of salt as well at times, unless you already have respect for their opinions.

I played it a bit.......it was ok, though it was damned hard to win with the federation, and soooooooo slow. And it was really annoying when you spent hours and hours playing just to have the crystalline entity/borg fleet turn up and wipe you out.

I never played MOO2, but have played alot of Space Empires 4, which is alot like Alpha Centauri and Civ combined.
I really enjoyed the game, and since it's fully scripted you could change ALL aspects of the AI.
