Nation States Gone?
I haven't been able to access the Nation States site for several days now. I keep getting DNS or server not found errors. Is anyone else having this problem or know of any scheduled maintenance? I haven't been able to access their forums for about a week and a half now so I'm hoping this is the reason it's offline.

Well, I last entered the site yesterday, during the afternoon. However, it has been down since last night.
I doubt it is gone, but more like the classic fall downs of the site.

I was just able to log in. Looks like the Fourm is still down, though.

It's working for me. It was down last night though, and this morning. Most likely just some small downtime.

It's back, and I am back in control.
Now what the heck happened? My political freedom is ranked at "superb." Can't have that.

What's going on with the issues? Nation State have a serious lack of new issues. Is getting kind of boring answer the same question over and over.

One must wonder though, if the site is so boring with the repeat issues, why is it that the amounts of traffic still make the server go down every now and then? Or are those downtimes just maintenance?

The last time it came back up I noticed that some of my stats had changed . My world benchmark in political freedoms had dropped to superb. They may be fiddling with some of the game mechanics in addition to bug fixing. I hope they're doing this in anticipation of adding new issues...

well many people probably have it set for one or two issues on weekdays.
I had 2 issues every day. That made all the issues go through quicker. I think by 2 or 3 weeks in I have seen all the issues.

I actually got an issue I hadn't seen before call "Accountants Excited." The server keeps crapping out on me so I can't check it out. If anyone's interested I'll post it here.

I try to get in tonight but... this is nice:
NationStates is Full!
Either that or you deliberately torture them. It's really up to you.
Sorry, we are unable to log you in at the moment. The maximum 4,000 users are already logged in!

Yeah, evidently they were only prepared for a fraction of this response. Ramping up to the level of service needed for 88,000 users. Even considering DLs and dropouts that big.
Do you think Apolyton could handle tripling the users in one month? I doubt it. I'd bet that Apolyton's 27,000 users includes a larger proportion of DLs and dropouts than NS.

Yeah, but when is the last time we had 4000 people on at the same time, or even the 1500 or so that seem to be average for NS?
