Upcoming ...
not the newest theme, i know. Cold War Crisis will be released within the next 4-5 days.
featuring: (1) ussr, usa, nato, yugoslavia, united arab republic, state of israel, arab league + a lot of "neutral cities" ; (2) all this on the map nemo used for his "cruel sea" scenario and (3) a lot of the cold war units moretheless in nemo-style.
just to give you a first impression (self-explaining. the good/bad guys [depends on youor point of view ])

I think it'd be cool if one way to win was the apollo mission, but that might only be possible in ToT

ok, mainly focused on the area from north america to the middle east with 2 main factions (as you may have guessed .... ): the Soviet Bloc and USA/NATO. then there are some minor powers like Yugoslavia with its own communism and Israel, both depending on the goodwill of both main powers last but not least the muslim world is also divided into two minor powers: the United Arab Republic consisting of Egypt and Syria und the Arab League, reaching from Mauretania in the west to Oman in the east.
the techs, well, let´s say i borrowed them from academia´s Iron Curtain scenario
the units i took from some other creators (for example Danny, Evilcat, Nemo, Fairline; the unit credits will be included in the release version) but are basically the same as in academia´s Iron Curtain (with some minor adjustments (e.g. the Electric Lightning instead of the Mirage III)
well, to make you even more hungrier, another screenshot showing the middle east

and the cities i will use. the first three sity styles are taken from my "World Today" scenario, the 4th one i edited 2 days ago. hope you like it.
the airbases are also a bit modified. i took ´em from Nemo´s "Blitz" scenario.
what do you think about?!

I'm pretty sure the RR between Amman and Medina hasn't worked since 1919 or so.

nope. as far as i know Stalin´s personal cult was abandoned 1956 at the XXth Communist Party Congress by Nikita Krushchev and all the (I don´t know the exact number) I guess 5-10 cities in the USSR bearing Stalin´s name were renamed.

Cool! A competitor to my "Iron Curtain" scenario

Don´t worry Jim
The techs aren´t mine! I also borrowed them from great scenarios like Jason Molthan´s Coldwar X; Andrew Livings´ Atomic Age and Crisis of the New World Order; Case´s Raging Dragon

BTW Academia, you signed up to playtest my Atomic Age modpack and I'm still waiting for feedback. I certainly wouldn't want to think you only did this to rip off my hard work.

Very nice. Didn't mean to sound harsh before. Also you might want to rearrange the shields so they aren't hidden by the units.

Jim, you should have used the Canberra graphic rather than the B57 for Nato - B57s were only used by the US. Also, why did you put a lid on my ZSU-57?
And one more thing. How about leaving the designers initials on their graphics.
Apart from mine, there are units by BeBro, Jimmywax, Dannyevilcat, CurtSibling, Techumseh.. anyone else I've missed there?

Cold War idea
Can I make a suggestion to differentiate between ICBMs and SLBMs? Remove the "destroyed after attacking" flag from the former. It will get destroyed in the blast anyway, and the game treats the unit like a plane (meaning subs can't carry them).

When you do release your PBEM test, please make it a public release!
BTW looks great. Can't wait to try it out.
