There's a town called "Westward Ho!" in Cornwall, England. I think that sets a precedent, as as we all know, law is based on precedent. Ha ! I'm still voting banana unless there's a better objection than that.

Yes. That would mean we would have such sentence monstrosities as "We must build a few bases at Xenobanana! to increase population". A geographical name can't have an exclamation mark, that's just silly. A sentence ends at an exclamation mark, period.

I really want to see some reliable source to this.

I am not sure. What does the constitution say? Of course, since the fluctuation in opinion has been so wide, this poll should be deemed as uneffective, and a repoll be made... I think.
