Voice Chat

Has anyone been able to get Voice Chat working ??

See page 47 of the PTW manual...

Reference is made there to Microsoft DirectVoice. A search for this on the MS website is unavailing, but seems to imply that it is part of DirectX 9.

No luck here so far, but I have been able to text chat, at least when playing on on Gamespy...

You should also refer to the readme for some specifics on voice chat. The PTW ini file must have voice=something other than zero.

That being said, I have not gotten mine to work (although sometimes i can hear others, they never seem to hear me).

I had some severe problems myself with this one but finally solved it with the help of others. What I did was:

Edit the ptw.ini file and set voicechat=4 (a good value to start with, I was told).

In the game press TAB and KEEP (it took me a while to discover this.

) it pressed as long as you want to speak.
