Where to Build Seti
When and if we do (at the recomendation of the Minister of Science or the decision of the President), WHERE should we build it.
We have 6 Wonders in Capitol, and 1 (UN) in Granada. Putting all your eggs in one basket can be dangerous, but a new Wonder city should have enhanced defenses.

Preferably inland.
Don't want nasty battleships now do we?

Any city on our home continent is fine with me. Preferably inland, preferably walled.. but regardless I can't visualize the AI coming after us at home. Pirates are the only issue (until Mobile Warfare).

only Seville and Salamanca are inland and reachable from where all the freights are stored atm. Although Where Its At Town might be a nice place so we wouldn't have to use a transport to move all those food caravans that continent is producing to Seville's continent. If we use food caravans for Space Ship parts, then Seville is probably the best place

1. Valencia
2. Pamplona
3. Cadiz
I don't see the AI getting at any of those cities without us having ample warning

Doesn't that play havoc with happiness issues, if we destroy the palace in Demo? I know corruption isn't an issue.
Anyway this is SETI we're talking about Good strat for Fundy, though.

Actually, Democracy doesn't need a capital at all to function just like normal. Communism and fundamentalism shouldn't need it either, but since you can bribe those cities it's probably a good idea to have it.
All the capitol in demo does is function as a courthouse, increasing the number of happy citizens by 1. Build a courthouse, and then it won't matter.

Have no capital after SS launch? Wow. I feel stupid. I never thought to try *that* before.
Not a terribly rare feeling, but this one surprised me.

Please excuse this comment from somebody not directly involved in your game.
SETI is one of those wonders (like Darwin and CfC) that is best sitauted in a recently founded city. The reason is that all the other places in the build list benefit from the extra beakers during that year.
On the few occasions I've used the wonder I prefer to found a secure inland city just for this purpose. The added advantage of using a small city is avoiding shield wastage which could be a problem in a larger one.

Is that worth the vulnerability of having it in a relatively undefended location? We don't have a lot of military units to move around. An interesting thought though...

there are only two ways for your ship to crash, lose your capital to the enemy
or be eliminated completely....
its extremely devious to do in MP
never feel dumb, we all learn things even 7 years after the fact!
