I propose,
In the Interest of International Security and Maintaining the Establishment of the General Peace of the World,
that this Finland Apolyton Summit be Halted Immediately.
The Evil Finlanders can only be coming up with evil plans, so they must be stopped before they can group together and combine their evilness.

/me slaps all threadjackers with a large trout.
Despite the threadjacking, I'll get back to the topic.
I assume Helsinki is the choice then, unless we hear a few more opinions that don't support Helsinki. So if Helsinki would be the primary location and Tampere a backup option, where in Helsinki would the meeting be then? Any indoor resort? And we still need suggestions regarding the program.

Andemagne, you think there are no nice mexican restaurants in Helsinki? Well, I must admit that I don't know any. I don't know any in Tampere either. But yeah, Helsinki would be great place. Especially because we can take Kassi to those...hmm...well, let's say they are caves that are in Suomenlinna, if he starts to feel too bad . Almost like his own basement, without computer of course.

Another nice place for chilling out in the Utter Darkness (tm) is the old Russian WWI period fortification system (built by Chinese prisoners of war) which lies conveniently nearby my secondary apartment. I mean, who can resist molded bunkers?

What? Suomenlinna? That's like THE meeting place for nerds, has been for YEARS. That is so original
I have two suggestions. The first was what everyone knows which is lots of booze and paid girls.
The other one is maybe even better, rent a bus, cruise downtown area all the time while drinking. Let's get beer tabs and all that, no bottles. Remove the seats, seats only in the back. Also sound system must be upgraded. Then we go pick up girls from bus stops, someone must kick out all the old ones and males, so only pretty girls can get in. And when they notice it's not where they wanted to come.. ducktape. Then we drive to the country side when enough girls.. and 'sorry.. no gas, doors wont open'. I reckon some of us could be getting lucky.

I would come but then I realised 'the place would be full of f**king Finns' and decided against it
I will see, I said I will pop over to Sweden during the summer, so I may see if I could make such a meeting...and NO SPEAKING FINNISH if I am there

You can get a day trip to Helsinki or Turkku for as little as £30, including two night's sleep on board.
Wait a second... You're coming to visit me in sweden this summer? Why haven't I heard anything about this?

Patriqvium, Isosaari? I know that there were some chinese prisoners then working, I remember seeing one chinese grave there when I was 'camping'. But I'm not sure if this is what you mean?

So far proposed: Suomenlinna and Isosaari(?). We need more good suggestions. What about Seurasaari?
Frozzy,
of course we have.

Ras: what about my suggestion? wouldn't gig at Tavastia be cool or what! Kassiopeia and Stefu could be quest stars for the band. Kass could cover some Finteligens (Kellareiden Kasvatit) and Stefu could cover some limb bizkit. (don't know what stefu looks like, but I have allways tought that he looks something like Fred Durst of limb bizkit.)

Okay, I suggest that we bring up this issue again when we get closer to the summer, but is Helsinki agreed now? And what about the timing?

Is Tampere totally out of the question? I don't like Helsinki
Geeky approach would be to get everyones coordinates and calculate the optimal meeting point.

Pekka!
A suggestion for you:
I doubt all of the Finns will agree with your plans, and they probably want to have this nice nerdy meeting with soda and sliced bread. BUT! Why don't WE, you, I, and Andemagne (possibly others, if interested ) hold a private-meeting! That bus-idea seems quite good, but I'm sure that if we bonk our wise heads together we'll figure out something even more fun - beer, chicks and rock'n'roll
Of course, this doesn't mean we wouldn't attend to that "other" meeting, also
Tampere and Hellsinki both suit me fine.
