Nomination's for term 3
NOMINATIONS for judicial and term 3 executive positions
Dear Apolemurians:
It is again time to come together and elect our government.
This will be the chance for you to express your desire for running for and office. It might be also a point in our history, where people might set a signal to our neighbours to change relations towards them.
Also, with this post the office of Senior Justice goes from mapfi to Gilgamensch, as stated in the constitution article III, section 2-c.
You can nominate yourself or anyone you wish, nobody has to accept a nomination though. You can, however, only run for one position! I have included the current office holders for convenience, they need however to be nominated too!
The nomination period would normally end on February 15th (Saturday), 12:00 GMT.
Judicial position:
One three-month term as judge, with the last term serving as Senior Justice. Judges cannot hold any executive position.
(currently held by Mapfi)
Nominated: H Tower
Executive positions:
A four-week term as minister, starting at the end of the election, approximately on the evening of Saturday, February 20th.
President:
(currently held by Pedrunn)
Nominated: Mapfi
Martin Gühmann
J Bytheway (rejected by candidate)
Minister of Domestic Affairs:
(currently held by Wise Ass)
Nominated: MrBaggins
Minister of Infrastructure:
(currently held by Iskallin)
Nominated: Iskallin
Minister of Diplomacy, Science and Trade:
(currently held by Locutus)
Nominated: Locutus
Minister of Defence:
(currently held by Turambar, replacement for Maquiladora)
Nominated: Turambar
Pedrunn
Zaphod
For a detailed description of each position read in the constitution, article II and III.
In the name of our constitution and the name of our people, Senior Justice Gilgamensch

Since I won't be seeking reelection as judge I'd like to nominate H Tower. I hope he accepts.
I feel that he is a perfect candidate. He knows the constitution in and out and he knows the job. I was always glad for his reasoning, always pointing out things I sometimes didn't see because of some overexcitement... It's a pity he is not in the current court and I'd like to see him there again. So go HT!

I haven't decided for myself yet, but I wanna nominate mapfi and J Bytheway for President. Pedrunn already announced he isn't running again and both these guys did a fantastic job with the turn chats so far

For H Tower I have to wait for his decision, he can't run for judge and President.
Might cause too much confusion and divertion for the voters.

It definitely causes some confusion on my part. Who lost their marbles and nominated me for president??? I don't even own CtP2, as most people well know.
I will accept mapfi's nomination though, the court has certainly slowed down some since i last was in office and If a case or two arrises I will be able to devote the time neccesary to it.
Locutus, by nominating mapfi and J bytheway for President are you removing two possible contenders from the office you want to run for?

I do have interests on running for a third term presidency. It really is a great position. But i wont! I like discussions therefore i rather have a position with more chances to create officials polls and do wjat i like the most here in apolyton: Debates.
So nominate myself for Minister of Defense!
So see you in the elections Turambar!

Two war party members in the MoD election, should be a good one. and a more important person than the presidant at the moment.
Ill be tracking your progress in our PBEM game Turambar to decide my vote.

H Tower,
I think he meant to say J Bytheway when he said H Tower
And no, I'm currently not considering running for Judge I want to be a Judge eventually but I can't foresee what my planning in the next 3 months will look like.
I pitty Turambar, 3 tough elections in 1 month time. Shame on you, Pedrunn, give the guy a break

misread again - we have a MoDA but not a MoDST...
I officially announce myself running for president.
Furthermore I think the MoD election could be far more interesting if the APP was sending it a candidate too. Provided he accepts I'd like to nominate Zaphod. He seems to support the ongoing war now but isn't as stubborn on War as WP-members.

I don't like power over people - makes me want to be like Genghis Khan. So i stay away........for the good of the nation!
Can a MoDSaT bloodbath a city when he wants too, you know when you wake up and just feel a bit pi**ed off and you say to yourself,
'I feel like burning LemurTown to the ground today - that'll show them'. No? oh well its for the best then

Thanks for the nomination, but after much thought I feel I must decline. Maybe later... Two candidates is enough for one election .

Oh, come on, people, nominate yourselves! Elections with only 1 candidate are no fun! Can't someone at least run for Min of Infrastructure or something? Since we barely have enough PW to build a single road (and we're still a while away from inventing Trade), it will hardly invovle any work and at least it will give us more interesting elections...
