If I play with 20 civs...
How do I contact each on the diplomacy screen? It has its usual number of slots... I jacked the number of civs in my current game up to 22. How do I go about contacting the ones that I cannot see on the diplomacy screen... anyone know? I know it can be done... just not sure how. Thanks.

Shift-Right click on the heads (or if you are using PTW press the button that says "More Civs"). As an alternative, you can use the little 'D' button on the info panel at the lower right of the map.
I personally think this was poor user interface design. It was done to look pretty rather than be functional.

Yes, that is certainly the case.

I don't think so. Considering how painful it is to play a game with more than 12 civs on anything bigger than standard maps, I think that 8 civs is the right number.

Click on the 'D' button on the right-hand side of the Info Box.
