I'm a nerd who has learned to kick ass.
So is that an assertive nerd,or is that an oxymoron?

The poll doesn't have anything to do with the thread.

That makes until now 19 nerds, one wannabe-nerd and only 3 who claim they aren't, although in this group - as we know - there's always a good percentage of people who repress their nerdhood.
Wow, that leaves 21 nerds and me. I'm not, my avatar shows that clearly!

I don't feel like a nerd or geek, but my social ineptitude forces me to act like one in most cases. Just about everyone who first meets me thinks I'm a geek, and often people don't change that opinion over time because they never get to know me enough to prove otherwise.

A "No" vote, but can I join the club based on being rude, crude, and socially unacceptable?

Depends on your politics.
Out here you can hardly throw a stone without hitting a tree-hugger.

I might not be smart enough to be a nerd. My IQ is only 180.

Hey, you didn't include a freak option!
I'm a geek because I like playing games on a computer, and my social skills aren't top, and I try not to study, something that is very successful up till now!
