That it won't work?

ya no shields go to the wonder when chopping down forests nearby. I guess it was too easily exploitable.

I'm not sure it would have been exploitable. I think the designers just wanted to stick to the "nothing to can hurry Wonder production" rule.

Yes you could easily exploit it. Have workers constantly plant trees and cut down forests. This could net you wonders in a fraction of the time it would usually take..

Yes, and you could easily do this for any other improvement or unit, except that it is not possible. Forests can only be cut down once in any tile. The IFE exploit was neutered a long time ago.

Dominae, I thought it was possible to use tiles again after a while? It depended on how many chops one city could take in a number of turns, IIRC. If you only use one tile, where you consistently plant and chop forest, you could do it multiple times (at least with non-industrious workers) I thought, whereas if you use 2 or 3 of those chop crews, the wood stops getting in.

Although I'm not 100% positive, I'm quite certain it is not possible to keep planting and chopping in the same location. I tried it in a Anarchy-only game, and it did not work very well. Maybe there is a "timer" such that eventually you get the benefit of of chopped Forest on a particular tile, but I have not had the patience to test it out. But it is definitely a per-tile thing, though, not per-city (two cities sharing a tile cannot both get the benefits of 2 chops on seperate occasions).
