Hot Seat game- difficulty not working

We are trying to play Hot Seat game using 4 computer players.
We set the difficulty at monarch, but game keeps defaulting to chieftan.

Can anyone help us?? Data appreciated!!!

I've heard of this bug before, but thought it defaulted to regent. Do you have the patch?

Well, I've played it and it's working. :P

In fact, I just played an Emperor level hotseat game a minute ago, just to make sure.

In between time, Wizard, you can go back to 1.04 and it'll work fine. That's what my wife and I have done. Works great.

Thanks for the tip Colonel.

Personally, I think we got ripped off with the Expansion pack
since we need all these patches to fix it.

But that's another Thread!!!
