So Metroid seems to be more of a hobby than a game, eh? I know another game like that - Final Fantasy X. I've been playing it for soooo long now - I've nearly got Tidus maxed out on stats though!

Oh who am I fooling??? he's not even close.

Yes.
You shouldn't have any problem then. You need to use the one grapple point in the geothermal core to get onto the platforms and expose the puzzle. Finish the puzzle and you have the plasma beam...

That's the brickwall I came to. How were you able to finish it?

It isn't that hard. You just have to be careful so that you don't fall off the spider ball track.

I found that the only two missile combos I really used were the Super Missle and the Ice Spreader -- I got the other two, but they seemed like too much waste for too little result. Anyone else feel this way?

The WaveBuster is really useful against one boss (the invisible drone in the Phazon Mines dynamo) but is useless otherwise. Don't have the Flamethrower yet, so I can't say much about it.

I plan to get 100% on my third go-through. First time, just playing it to beat it -- got 76%. Now, going through on hard to get it as fast as I can, and third time, on hard for the items.

I like to make my games have replay value. But I won't be getting to that anytime soon, because Skies of Arcadia is eating all of my time now...Yar!

I love Skies of Arcadia. I'm considering buying it for the GC, even though I already beat in twice on the DC.

My roommate is going through SOA: Legends right now. On the downside, the box art isn't as good (the back emphasizes fighting more than exploration, missing the point), and some of the music sounds off (parts that were synth orchestra before now sometimes sound as straigth synth, which isn't good). On the bright side, there are now some actually difficult bosses to fight, which is good because the original SOA had virtually no challenge. This is actually quite a big improvement.

That is a good improvement, as the bosses in the original SOA were almost painfully easy. Might have to pick this game up sooner as opposed to later...

Yes, I've run across a boss or two that were a bit tough. I'm about 25 hours in at this point, and just got the third crystal.
