I'm just wondering how many people on Apolyton would actually ever admit they've been beaten or that they were wrong.

This tactic you've also used a couple times, although the "sweep under the rug" tactic gets more use.

If someone can convince my that I am wrong, then sure, I will admit it.
It is acceptable that people make mistakes.

But by refusing to concede that you are wrong, even when it is proven, just makes you look like an ass.
