(1) What do you think about the terrains, and (2) I need some help!
I created two different types of bridges for my scenario. Which one should I choose?
The left one I took from Nemo´s Red Front and modified it a bit.
The right one I created.
o Take the left one!
o I would prefer the one on the right.
Personally I would prefer the right but I think it doesn´t look like very good. Has someone else some bridge graphics???

I prefer the bridge on the left!
And I like your terrain, except for 1 element in terrain1:
the "red house" that appears on the grassland and the hills lines seems a bit distorted and it's not easy for me to see what it's supposed to be!
But the rest is really good!

something trivial that I noticed.... why are the Germans facing east and the British units facing west? won't this mean they'll have their backs to each other and attack arse-first?

If you want your Arnhem bridge to be historically accurate take the right one.
However if you use the same icon for all bridges, all the other won't be accurate !

If you wise men would have downloaded the map I posted in this thread and would have read the explanations you would know that I rotated the map 90° ....

ok, jim, only joking
On a more serious note, your panzer grenadier graphic has them dressed in black - only tank crews wore black, while other troops (including SS) wore field grey uniforms. More appropriate for the timeframe of this scenario would be cammo uniforms for SS.

The bridge on the right looks more like Arnhem bridge when compared with the other.

The camo is somewhat hard to do I think because they still wore the grey uniforms but had cammoflauged smocks over them. Or am I wrong?

That map looks good, and big. How far can the various units move in a turn? And have you taken that into account when thinking about combat?

Maybe a way to avoid high mf's would be to use a high road bonus. Otherwise MD's right, it's going to take some careful balancing to keep a Panther that can attack 5-10 times a turn from wiping out large numbers of weaker units.

Isn't the map TOO big ? Don't forget that Civ has no "ranged combat", and in WW2 tanks did fight mainly at 500-1000m range (and arty could bombard from 10km+).
So if squares are less than 1km it will not allow for anything resembling WW2 warfare... (arty problem notwithstanding, this one is unsolvable)

Unit Discussion
The idea with the Camo is not bad. I was just surfing around to find some pictures showing German Soldiers in Camo.
Look what I´ve found. The first one shows a Wehrmacht Troop in "Camo". The first camo were some pieces of grass and wood stuck on the helmet.

And last but not least a troop pf paratroopers.
I think I´ll change the uniforms of the Germans to camo. Historically every soldier wore his field grey uniform but he also had some camo with him: 1 gear with two different sides, one white for winter, the other one with some "the-rest-of-the-year" camo.
And I don´t think the map is too big. It would be far less realistic if the XXX Corps would reach the outslirts of Arnhem in a couple of hours.

Luftwaffe and Heer troops wore cammo smocks, as you say - as did SS. SS were also issued with actual cammo tunic and trousers as well with a different pattern to the Heer troops. If I get time I'll draw something, as I don't have a scanner. Personally, I'd leave the regular troops in feldgrau to distinguish them from SS.

Waffen SS camo!
Ok, I decided to camoflage the SS units and to leave the Wehrmacht in Feldgrau.
I made some research concerning the camo of the SS and - according to some SS units seen in various fils wearing camo smocks - I made the SS a brown-green camo smock. I also decided to post this piece of art work now to let you look upon it.
2 rows, the first one shows SS with camo, the second one without.
The units are: Schütze w/MP40, Schütze w/KAR´98, Schütze w/Panzerschreck; and the multi-unit graphic schowing a SS Company
