I believe this information is incorrect. They are actually quite well-suited for medium to hard targets like bunkers and cave-like fortifications. Reason: The extreme heat causes the air to expand, and the sudden and dramatic pressure change produces a blast wave comparable to that of a small nuclear weapon.

While that is part of the effect, the fact that the explosion is spreaded out thin over a huge area renders it impotent against harderned targets. it is entirely possible that the total energy output can match that of a small nuclear weapon, but the latter blast is a point source.

OK, I see your point.

More News from the Front
In a statement that was greeted with great relief by most of the Centralian population, the CDF General Staff have anounced victory after a week-long, bloody camapign against the rebels in northern Centralis. Their leader was assassinated outside his own command post by an Alecrast Yokuza unit, which resulted in the fragmentation of the rebel movement and gave the CDF the opportunity to move in and destroy the remaining rebel strongholds. although scattered guerilla units still remain, they ahve ceased to be a threat to the stability of Centralis, and as a result martial law has been ended and new elections are being scheduled.

Alecrast congratulates Centralis on eliminating this threat to regional stability. Our Yokuza units must now pull back, but if you would find them useful in dealing with the remaining guerillas, our Ranger units remain at your disposal.

We thank Alecrast for their offer of continuing assistance, and would like to ask that a few untis remain in case we need them, but larger numbers are no longer necessary.

Very well then. Is it alright with you if some of those forces then ship out with your peacekeeping forces towards North Sheepsta?

Guardinian forces are preparing to lift the naval blockade and allow ships of all nations to once again pass unhindered through Centralisian waters. All boardings and inspections will cease at midnight, whereupon Guardinian naval forces shall begin a gradual standown and withdrawal from the area. All arrested ships will be released into the custody of the proper authorities in their respective nations of origin and will be free to leave our holding areas as soon as they get a clearance from said authorities. All confiscated cargo will be turned over to the government of Centralis, so anyone who wishes to reclaim such cargo will have to state their claims to Centralis, not Guardinia.
